These tiny creatures may not have even survived the night, meaning that if the farmer hadn’t acted immediately the babies would likely perish. The kittens’ lives were on the proverbial knife edge.

The farmer couldn’t just ignore their cries, so it seemed that the cats’ fortunes were shifting. But life can be incredibly fickle, especially for helpless newborns exposed to the elements.
